Wilma the Wombat is a surfer girl and that's just one of her many assets NOT shown off in this panorama. You may discover the letter Y on her arm, the tail end of her tattoo reading 'I ♥ Pokey' (see the Platypus above). Give the Wombats extra credit: they continued playing once afloat.

Additional events included HugaPalooza '08, resulting in a new Guinness record by Josh Speigel of local radio station 98 Rock. The germaphobe radio personality hugged 1000 people within an hour (actually, 34 minutes).

The event reportedly drew some ten thousand participants and netted three million dollars in all, in no small part due to Ellwood "Bunky" Bartlett, Mega Millions lottery winner's million dollar donation.

Hence, upon setting the new Guinness record, it seemed only befitting that Josh Spiegel hugged Bunky, bringing his total hug count to 1001.

Time flies when you're having fun, even if it stands still on the giant brightly lit clock just as you enter Housewerks. I was also grateful for the light it shed in an otherwise - in proper Halloween mood, mind you - dimly lit space, nearly impossible to photograph.

We quickly discovered the bar, i.e. the kegs set up downstairs and relaxed to find that we fit in just fine with the other intergalactic creatures coming in no lesser variety then those in any of Star Wars' watering holes.

We were entertained by several performances, and here I primarily refer to the professionals, not the self-proclaimed party-goers. Hula hoopers, belly and fire dancers and a beat boxer made for a grant old time, and no easy challange to be captured.

This has been an unusually warm Autumn around here. There's no better way to measure it but by the number of days your Jack-O-Lantern lasts on your front porch. We are on our second batch in this panorama, and - likely - by the time you read this, we will be having our third go. Wouldn't wanna be without them for the pretty witches and handsome pirates come Halloween.

And onto adult entertainment today (no, not like that). Actually, we did pay our visit (and i mean PAY) to the carnival rides too, but I spent a formidable amount of time drinking beer to the music of Steve Kramer and his Bluesicians, 20 year Sunday evening veterans of the Cat's Eye Pub. It would have been difficult to turn down requests from the bridal-party-to-be to photograph the bachelorette, who - judged by her farewell to solo life - clearly will be making all the right moves in her married one as well. Ursula Hicks never sounded better.

I have seen Tommy Buckets around town on numerous occasions, and have actually photographed him, but always under unfavorable panoramic light conditions.
